Desiccator, 200mm I.D., 5.8L, Large Top with 24/29 Stpk, 190mm Plate Dia, Complete. This 5.8L Pyrex desiccator has a rugged 24/29 standard taper stopcock with tooled hose connections that serve as the vacuum inlet. It is designed so that its manipulation is not affected by the vacuum. To introduce vacuum into the desiccator, loosen the stopcock to disengage the PTFE plug from contact with the glass. A half turn from this position closes the desiccator. This design eliminates the need for grease. The tubulation O.D. is approximately 10mm. Approximate bowl volume capacity is 5,800mL. For replacement bowl see CG-8266-R200LO. For replacement stopcock see CG-8272-RSTPK. Please Note: Plate is not supplied and must be purchased seperately. WARNING: Do Not Heat Or Subject To Pressure. Chemglass Life Sciences Desiccator, Polycarbonate, Size A
Clear polycarbonate desiccator having extra heavy walls to eliminate the danger of implosion. Desiccator will hold a vacuum of 740mm of Hg (29”) for a period of 24 hours. Space saving design of the desiccator dome provides maximum interior clearances, giving an average of 13% greater interior volume than hemispherical domes. The supplied polypropylene stopcock has a PTFE plug which turns easily, allowing a slow, gentle entrance of air to prevent unnecessary turbulence and crucible damage. Stopcock port accepts 1/4” I.D. tubing. Supplied complete with a neoprene o-ring unaffected by temperatures down to 0ºC. Polypropylene plate that is supplied with the desiccator is 1/8” thick with 1/8” perforations for air transfer.
